FrictionBox is a one-woman venture run by me, Y. And to be honest, it all started with the motivation to escape the 9 to 5 office grind.

Why even admit that to you?

Because what does this monotonous, day-in, day-out lifestyle do to all of us in the rat race? I realized, it takes me away from pursuing my actual interests and spending quality time with my family and friends. What is most important to you in your life? For most, it is their loved ones. 

Now, I care about my family as much as the next sucker, but I hate gift-giving. I have always struggled to find gifts I felt confident the recipient would love. So much potential judgment and criticism... Giving gifts is a huge anxiety for many, and that's where FrictionBox begins.

FrictionBox aims to find the best gifts for every type of person in your life. I'm just getting started, but I hope you find that perfect gift for your unique person, including yourself. And even if you do still feel unsure, just go for it, shake things up.
